Regal Entertainment Group (REG) is a chain of movie theaters that is located throughout the United States and its territories. Founded in Knoxville, Tennessee in 1989 Regal Cinemas gained immediate attention because of the large size of its theaters, upscale look, and premium cafes. Currently Regal ticket prices vary based on the time of day one is attending the movie. Regal ticket prices for matinee movies start at $6.50 for children and $7.50 for adults. During regular or evening hours the rate for children between the ages of 2 and 12 is $9.00 while adults are charged $11.00 per ticket. Movies seen in 3D or IMAX cost an additional $3.50 and $6.50 per ticket. There are additional discounts offered on the Regal ticket cost if you are a member of the military with a valid ID, a student, or a senior citizen.
